Common Questions
HVAC Questions from Ajax Homeowners
1How much does furnace installation cost in Ajax?
Furnace installation in Ajax typically ranges from $2,500 to $5,500 depending on the efficiency rating (80–99% AFUE), unit size, and installation complexity. After Enbridge Gas rebates of up to $1,000, net costs are often lower. Global Comfort Air provides free in-home estimates with no obligation.
2How quickly can you respond to a heating emergency in Ajax?
We aim to respond to emergency heating and cooling calls in Ajax within 2–4 hours. Our dispatch team is available 24/7 including weekends and holidays.
3What rebates are available for HVAC upgrades in Ajax?
Ajax homeowners may qualify for Canada Greener Homes grants (up to $5,600), Enbridge Gas rebates of up to $1,000 for high-efficiency furnaces, and Ontario Home Efficiency Rebate Plus incentives for heat pumps. Global Comfort Air handles all rebate paperwork on your behalf.
4What warranty do I get on a new HVAC system installed in Ajax?
Lennox equipment installed by Global Comfort Air comes with a 10-year parts warranty and a 10-year heat exchanger warranty when registered within 60 days. We also provide a 1-year labour warranty on all installations. Extended warranty options are available.
5How long does HVAC installation take in Ajax?
A standard furnace or AC replacement in Ajax typically takes 4–6 hours. A full system replacement (furnace + AC) usually takes one full day. We work efficiently to minimize disruption and leave your home clean.
6Can you add central air conditioning to an Ajax home that only has a furnace?
Yes — this is one of our most common requests in Ajax's older neighbourhoods. We can add central AC to your existing forced-air system, or recommend a ductless mini-split if your home doesn't have ductwork.
